3d Concept design
These pieces explore a hybrid digital workflow that combines traditional illustration with three-dimensional design. I began by constructing detailed environments and interior spaces in Blender and Autodesk Maya, using the 3D software to establish accurate perspective, lighting, and spatial relationships.
After developing the scene, I imported the renders into Procreate and Adobe Photoshop, where I painted over the models by hand. This process allowed me to preserve the underlying structure of the 3D environment while introducing the expressive qualities, texture, and visual storytelling of digital illustration. By blending technical tools with traditional artistic techniques, I was able to focus on atmosphere, composition, and narrative without sacrificing the accuracy of the foundational design.
I also incorporated this workflow into the development of my personal comic project, using 3D environments as a foundation for concept art and interior designs for the characters' apartments and living spaces. Creating these environments in three dimensions allowed me to thoughtfully consider how each space reflected the personalities, routines, and stories of the characters who inhabited them.
These illustrations were intentionally created in black and white, allowing me to evaluate composition, value, lighting, and visual clarity before introducing color. Working in grayscale emphasized the importance of strong design fundamentals and reinforced the idea that compelling visual storytelling begins with effective composition rather than color alone.
digital
illustration
Digital illustration is a core part of my creative process, and I enjoy working across multiple platforms to take advantage of each program's strengths. My workflow regularly moves between Adobe Illustrator for clean vector artwork, Adobe Photoshop for image editing and final production, and Procreate for sketching, painting, and finished illustrations.
I create my work using both a Wacom drawing tablet and an iPad with Apple Pencil, choosing the tools that best fit each stage of a project. My 36-page comic, for example, was illustrated entirely in Procreate before being brought into Photoshop for lettering, page assembly, color adjustments, and print-ready preparation.
Publishing comics
I wrote, illustrated, and self-published a 36-page original comic, taking the project from an initial concept to a finished product. Along the way, I navigated every step of the publishing process, including registering the work with the U.S. Copyright Office, coordinating professional printing, and selling the comic both online and locally.
Motion Graphics
THIS IS NOT AN AD!
I MADE THIS!
Animation has been one of the most rewarding parts of my creative career. Over the past several years, I've designed and produced a large library of interactive Google Display Ads, managing every stage of the production pipeline from initial concept to final published asset.
This is the heart of every animation. The timeline is where every movement, transition, and interaction is planned using keyframes — the points that define how objects change over time. Once you understand how keyframes work, the core principles of animation become much more intuitive.
Branding &
Logo design
As part of my role at the Navy Exchange, I developed the visual identity for Strive 365, a healthy eating and lifestyle initiative focused on promoting wellness and better nutrition for military personnel across the globe.
My work included designing the brand's logo, establishing its color palette, and creating a library of supporting textures and graphic elements. The goal was to create a fresh, approachable, and energetic identity that reflected the brand's focus on healthy living while remaining consistent with the Navy Exchange's standards.
Thanks for checking out my stuff!
